Today I went to visit Wickham Vineyard in Botley, southampton in order to take images for Reccy purpose's and to give me an idea of how large the complex is. I met the Owner and I asked him a few questions which will help me with planning for my Promotional video.
I was taken on a guided Tour where I explored the Vines and shop. unfortunately the Vines are not in season until August time so my idea has changed to making an informative. but business and the vineyard complex are still busy, the owner Jonathan is still very busy with work as Wickham Vineyard own the Wineshak, a wine retailer chain across Hampshire.
I took many pictures of the shop and vineyard to help with planning
Presentation
Today I pitched my presentation to don and the class. I felt it went well but there was a few small issues surround my powerpoint. I timed it perfectly and it lasted the correct amount of time without any problems. Some of the issues were as follow, the font was not the best colour and clashed a bit with the background so the class and don struggled to read it, and another of the main issues was that i should have chosen a larger survey audience
Filming 8/3/12
Today i went down to WIckham Vineyard with a HV1E and all the equipment I needed to capture the footage for the Promotional video, i started of by filming all of the Vines, getting many different angles and pans and zooms, however the vines were not in season so i was unsure if i would use the footage from that. next i moved onto the winery, where i got shots of all the equipment and the barrels used to store and make the wine. As everything is done inside of Wickham there was a substantial amount of equipment inside of the winery.
Next i briefly spoke to Jonathan who was going into a meeting and asked if i could do his interview after, so I filmed the wine shop on site. using pans and static shots I got a variety of different wines and shot compositions to use in editing. Then Jonathan finished his meeting so I asked him 10 questions about the Vineyard that i can use to tell my target audience a little about what happens at Wickham.
His interview was well structured and i was happy with the audio levels but an over exposed window made Jonathan look under exposed and the room was not suitable for lighting which is unfortunate. but i feel i did the best that i could under the circumstances.
10/3/12
I went down to the Editing suite to capture the tape from the vineyard, I created a basic structure and a rough edit so that i knew what else I needed. I then contacted the Vineyard to Organise getting some footage of the Wineshak in winchester. and we organised a date for filming. I also made a Spanish style guitar melody on garage band to accompany my video.

Filming Wineshak
I booked out some equipment and went down to the town to film the Wineshak, The man working had to phone Jonathan to check it was okay because he was not made aware that I would be filming. The wide selection made filming very easily as I got many different shots of the selection that they have to offer.
23/3/12
Filmed my Cinemagraph with a bottle of wine that I purchased from the vineyard when i filmed there. I used Dedo's to light the wine so that it is clearly visible and the colours are vibrant.

24/3/12
Edited my Cinemagraph in after effects and photoshop, I used what i was taught in a tutorial on cinemgraphs to make this image.
26/3/12
Today i went to Dons lesson where he gave me pointers on my rough edit, telling me that i need to slow my cuts down and give the promo video a 30 second introduction before Jonathan starts talking about his vineyard. He told me I need fades on some of the shots to give the video a slower feel.
30/3/12
finished editing the Promo, and Added the finishing touches to my webpage so that it is ready for the promotional film to go up.
